Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Workday Charity Open
OVERVIEW
Well, he is who we thought he was. Bryson overpowered and out putted the field last week winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic as we expected. It sucks to “know” in the back of your mind that the favorite is the favorite for a reason, and that the right move was probably just allocating all of our betting bankroll last week on 5/1 or 6/1 Bryson, but when the field is 157 players deep and we only have four rounds as a sample size you see why most of the DFS/Golf betting world was taking deep shots last week instead of just suggesting to bet it all on Bryson. From a DFS perspective last week we got a lot right. Bryson (winner), Hatton (T4), Kisner (3rd), HV3 (T30) and Webb Simpson (T8) were all suggested last week and played extremely well. If not for a Kevin Na 2nd round withdraw, I would’ve had a really good week (but that’s the risk we take when rostering the often injured). This week we have a new event, one that shouldn’t pop up after this year, but new nonetheless and should be a decent primer for the Memorial next week. We actually have a decent field this week as seven of the Top 15 players in the world will be in the field, highlighted by Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka.
