Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- WGC Dell Match-Play
OVERVIEW
The giant elephant in the room this week is how the bracket is setup, which will play a major role in choosing which players ultimately make your lineups this week, but we won’t find out whose is who’s pod until late tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately for us content providers, we can’t wait to write preview articles until Tuesday so bear with me this week. The course is a (Pete Dye) bombers paradise and the Par 5’s are the three easiest holes on the course, so we’ll definitely be targeting long hitters and strong Par 5 scorers. The course is littered with fun holes which offer a huge risk/reward for these players and the best part about it all is they only lose the hole if they shoot a bad score which means aggressive play will reward our lineups. The other issue with not knowing the brackets is predicting which players will be done is less than 18 holes, which means the player who wins say 6&5 will get 8 points for 5 holes won without having to play them. Speaking of scoring, I think it’s important to revisit match play scoring for DraftKings this week.
Holes won = 3 points
Holes Halved = .75 points
Holes Lost = -.75 points
Holes not played = 1.6 points
Matches won = 5 points
Matches halved = 2 points
Without much more information on the pods/brackets, lets get to the picks.
