Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Wells Fargo Championship

OVERVIEW

We return to a familiar course in the southeast as we finally get back to a good field event at the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club. We all know Webb Simpson is a member here, but for whatever reason just can’t seem to put it together in tournament play. This week’s best course history plays are Rory $10,000 (most of his history stems from a win in 2015, but he does have four straight Top 16s here), Phil Mickelson has always played well here with the exception of 2019 where he missed the cut and Rickie Fowler nabbed his first professional win on these grounds in what seems like half a century at this point. We’ve now seen some longshots win a couple events in a row going back to Stewart Cink, so I’d expect the favorites to start playing a much bigger role in the outcomes of these events as we head closer to this year’s 2^nd major at the PGA Championship in a couple of weeks.
