Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- US Open

OVERVIEW
Winged Foot was originally designed by AW Tillinghast (Medinah CC, Baltusrol, Bethpage Black, Firestone CC) and Gil Hanse did the re-design (Aronimink, Merion, Plainfield, Rio – Olympics, TPC Boston, Doral). It has hosted several US Opens (2006 – won by Geoff Ogilvy, 1994 – won by Fuzzy Zoeller, 1974 – won by Hale Irwin, 1959 – won by Billy Casper, and in 1929 – won by Bobby Jones) as well as the 1997 PGA Championship – won by Davis Love III. It’s a beautiful piece of property and looks to be in great shape heading into this week, so I’m looking forward to this event.
