Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- U.S Open
OVERVIEW
This week we head to the land of beer and cheese for the 2nd major of the year. The course is long and it gets windy. The rough is long, deep and ridiculously thick – ball spotters will have their hands full this week. From what I’ve read about the course, it’s a ball striker’s paradise as long as they’re finding the tight fairways. Personally, I’m looking at this week from more of a “Open Championship” standpoint than a “US Open”. I’ll be targeting those with strong records in Open Championships, as well as how players played at Chambers Bay two years ago, Bethpage Black and Whistling Straits. The reason I’m looking at those specific venues is I believe the same skill sets are needed to play well on those courses as this one.
