Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Tour Championship
OVERVIEW
The grand finale is finally here! Everything that these guys have been playing for ($10,000,000) rears its head this week as the PGA Tour heads to Atlanta, GA and East Lake Golf Club. The field consists of the top thirty players in the FedEx Cup playoffs, which means there is no cut this week. All players are guaranteed four rounds, barring a withdrawal, but I don’t expect to see anyone walk away from the event before Saturday unless there’s massive weather concerns. This has been a fun year of PGA DFS, from seeing Tiger return to action, Patrick Reed winning the Masters, Brooks claiming the US Open & PGA Championship after a wrist injury caused him to miss the first third of the season and watching young stars like Bryson, Aaron Wise, and Tony Finau all take another step in their careers. With this being an extremely limited field without a cut, I won’t be playing cash games (as I typically don’t anyways), so the article will be more geared towards GPP plays. We’ll get back to the cash plays once the fall season starts. I hope you’ve enjoyed the preview article this year as I have restored an interest in writing it. I have plans to add some new tidbits or items of note that may give us an edge on the competition for next season’s article, so be on the lookout for that as well.
