Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- RSM Classic
OVERVIEW
This week is the final week of full-field tournaments for 2019. The RSM has quite a history of first-time winners coming out victorious, and it makes sense since most of the field consists of young players or those fighting to keep their cards. Charles Howell managed to end his winless drought here last year beating Patrick Rodgers in a playoff, so there’s that too. The RSM is played on two different courses pre-cut as players will play both the Seaside and Plantation courses on Thursday & Friday, and whoever makes the cut will finish the event on the Seaside course. The courses are a little different in that the Seaside course is played with more of a links layout and is a Par 70, whereas the Plantation course is a bit more protected by the trees on the course and plays as a Par 72. Both courses are considered easy by PGA Tour standards and scoring over the years indicates that as well. Both courses feature bermuda grass greens, so leaning on southern United States born players or those who went to college in the south is probably my strongest lean this week as far as roster construction goes.
