Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- RSM Classic
OVERVIEW
This week’s event is the final PGA Tour event of the calendar year (sorry Tiger, your event doesn’t count). The RSM is played on two courses, both are Par 70’s and the plantation course isn’t as prone to the wind as the Seaside course, but both will render low scores due to the easy to hit fairways and short rough. The courses don’t typically play as a bomb & gouge courses as all of the past winners in the last five years have not been known as bombers by any means. The lack of bombers in the field may have something to do with that as well, but when you see a list of twenty or so players that line up as bunters who are strong ball strikers and good bermuda putters, it’s usually a good thing to target that type of player. This is Kevin Kisner’s playground, so I’m sure he’ll be the chalk play at the top of the board, JJ Spaun should also garner some ownership as he has good form coming in and was a runner-up here last year, but is by far too spendy for being JJ Spaun even in this field. Outside of that, it should be easy to differentiate your lineups this week.
