Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- RBC Heritage
OVERVIEW
Wow, what a Masters week! To say this week is a hangover is definitely putting it lightly. I’ve never been so happy for someone who cost me a good chunk of money (as someone who had outrights on Molinari, Brooks and Finau – amongst others who were in the hunt at various times of the week). Based on my Twitter timeline I’d say a lot of you kept the #faith with Tiger this week and that can only magnify the type of feeling I have as I write this. Yesterday was a “where were you moment” in so many ways. If he never wins another major, if he wins more than one it’ll always be referred to as “where were you when he finally did it?!?!”. Seeing him with Charlie and of course, seeing the clip of him with Earl in 1997 brings so many happy memories of the Tiger that may have brought us all to this common ground of golf. I could literally go on and on about yesterday, but it’s time to move onto the week of the Tartan Jacket and Hilton Head. The course was designed by Pete Dye, and it’s quite the change in course compared to Augusta. You have to hit fairways around here, and you have to be somewhat long off the tee if you want any shot of throwing darts at these small greens as they’re very difficult to hit in regulation especially with the wind whipping off the coast. Bad putters have been rewarded here in the past, probably due to the slower green speeds, so this is not a week where we need to swear off of Matsuyama, Adam Scott, or anyone else cut from the same putting cloth. The field is actually a bit stronger than I was expecting, so hopefully we don’t see a lot of these bigger names withdraw prior to the event.
