Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Posche European Open (European Tour Package)
OVERVIEW
This week the Porsche European Open gets a new course and a new date (previously held at the end of the season) in hopes to attract more American golfers (they failed). From what I’ve read, the course can play up to 7800 yards as a Par 73, but of course EuropeanTour.com has yet to provide confirmed details so we’re going with what I’ve seen. The course features water hazards that run along the 17th hole making it “the most difficult place in Germany”. I expect some carnage this week with the new course, Open hangover, and lack of talent in this field so buckle up! There’s really nothing to take away from the history of this event as it was held at Bad Griesbach for only two years, London GC for two years and the K Club for twelve – none of these venues correlate in any way other than being links courses. With that being said, I think this is a great week to avoid popular American golfers (and Richard Bland who has been part of the FGI brand for two years now, so you know this pains me) and focus on the talented Euro Tour players we’ve been targeting most of the year thus far.
