Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Omega European Masters (European Tour Package)
OVERVIEW
The Omega European Masters offers us a fairly strong field (as far as Euro Tour regulars go) as well as a fairly straight forward process for building rosters this week. Scott Hend has been an annual contender here the past two years, only to lose his grip on the lead and eventually losing in playoffs to Fitzpatrick & Noren. Is this the year he finally changes his luck and nabs a title that has fallen through his fingers over the years? The course doesn’t really setup to his game, though he has been able to keep his tee shots in the fairways here the past few years, which may mean it suits his eye (something that doesn’t get talked about enough on either Tour). The course is quite short and plays even shorter due to the altitude, and many of the fairways are undulating giving players even more roll off the tee. It also features two drivable Par 4’s on holes 6 & 7, with the 6th being the riskier of the two if players elect to go for it off the tee and is littered with hazards primarily on the back 9. The event itself is one that has been won multiple times by former champions, so don’t rule out Fitz or Willett nabbing another title. Noren, Bjorn, Eduardo Romero and even Seve Ballesteros have all won this event at least twice, Seve doing it three times. Don’t forget to check out our NFL content this week prior to lock as Zach & Jeff had great success last year with providing cash game plays on a weekly basis. I’m sure you’re all just as excited as I am to get cracking on some NFL DFS, but this week offers a ton of action in PGA & Euro as well.
