Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- OHL Classic @ Mayakoba
OVERVIEW
Last week was a very successful week for Team FGI across the board especially if you avoided the Kevin Na WD and Jamie Lovemark’s antics. This week we head to Mexico to the birdie fest that will be at Mayakoba. The course is easy for these guys, to call it a fair test, would be a stretch. It’s too fair. Not unfair. It’s a short resort course that requires you to work the ball both ways off the tee (shouldn’t be an advantage to any one type of preferred ball flight off the tee) and features some fairly small greens. The course is not protected by trees, so if the winds kick up the scores should see a slight decrease, but I fully expect a winner in the -20+ range again this week. As far as comparable courses go, we don’t have much to go off of, but it would be wise to take a look at Coco Beach Golf & Country club (Puerto Rico Open) and how certain players played there to see if anyone in particular played well there in the past. I’m also looking at results from the CIMB as a tie-breaker of sorts as the course features Paspalum greens as well.
