Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- NBO Oman Open (European Tour Package)

OVERVIEW

We have a new event this week on the European Tour as we head to Oman for the NBO Oman Open. The Challenge Tour has played on this course in the past, so you may see some players with course history down below. Note that these results were in Challenge Tour fields (which is basically what we have this week minus 5 golfers). The field is “star studded” with the likes of Andy Sullivan, Chris Wood, Beef Johnston and Alex Levy (insert eyeroll.gif). The course is a coastal links course, with one tree in play on the 8^th hole, so we’ll be leaning on guys we know that have a strong penchant for links play. Two Par 5’s measure close to 600 yards, while the other two are relatively short (566y & 543y) and all but one of the Par 3’s are under 200 yards (one of them is an island green). The main defense for this course would appear to be the weather (winds coming off the Gulf of Oman/Indian Ocean), so keep that in mind when building your lineups. For more on the course, click here. Originally, I was thinking of throwing a few tournament lineups in, but the more I research, the more I think I’ll throw those same lineups in cash games this week because I can see a lot of our competition making mistakes.
