Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Kenya Open (European Tour Package)
OVERVIEW
This week the European Tour debuts another new event, this time in Kenya. The course has hosted Challenge Tour (European Tour’s version of the Web.Com Tour) events in the past, so some of the players in the field have *some* experience on the course, but none of that has come in this event meaning there is no course history to bank on. The course is played at elevation, so a short course will be playing even shorter this week and some quotes from some of the players in the field mention that this is a basic driver-wedge course with minimal trouble around the greens. Speaking of the greens, they’re fairly small, but with minimal bunkering or water hazards near them there shouldn’t be any issues. Target strong ball strikers heavily this week and everything should be ok, regardless of how long or short they are off the tee. With the elevation and lack of hazards, I expect scoring to be quite high this week even from the bums that are featured in this event, so saddle up as we might see the highest DK scoring on the Euro Tour all season in this event. South Africans should be the talk of the town again this week as we’re in Africa and on kikuyu fairways and rough. I’d expect Coetzee to be a popular play this week following last week’s runner-up finish, but as you know we were on him heavy last week and its now time for us to jump ship at the elevated cost.
