Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- ISPS Handa Wales (European Tour-Pro Pack Members)

OVERVIEW
Just like the PGA Tour did with the Workday Classic & Memorial Tournament in back-to-back weeks, the European Tour will be doing two events in a row at the same course, this week the ISPS Handa Wales Open plays the role of the Memorial Tournament. Celtic Manor is a long, flat, and exposed course with huge fairways and some water waiting for errant shots. The course was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. features five Par 3’s, and four Par 5’s playing as a Par 71. Scoring on the Par 5’s is essential for contending, but equally as important is not gagging strokes back on the Par 3’s, so this will be a week where we want to target strong Par 3 scorers. As of writing, the wind direction is the only major difference between how the course will play. The final holes will be into the wind, versus with the wind, making them play a tad bit tougher. The corollary course to Celtic Manor seems to be Le Golf National (French Open) so we’ll be looking at those who have played well there as a result.
