OVERVIEW
New course to the rotation this week so we’ll be eliminating the course history from key stats to target. The course they’re playing this week is very long, includes elevation changes (in shots, not at sea level), various bunkering styles, and features two lakes, large undulating greens and fairly wide fairways so bombers will be in play. The front nine features an island green (so that should be fun) while the closing holes are built around a quarry and a large lake with rock formations. There hasn’t been much official golf played on the course thus far either, but the LPGA played here back in November. With a course rating of 74.6, I think it’s safe to say we should treasure any bogey free rounds this week. It’s not a great comparison, but only four players finished under par that week so it’ll definitely be a good test of golf for the European and Asian Tour players. The weather looks fair with rain in the forecast on Thursday and Friday, but becoming sunny with very little wind on the weekend as of writing. Of course, always check the local forecast before lock on Wednesday night as well as any communication sent out by the team.
