Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- FedEx St Jude Classic

OVERVIEW
Congrats to those who backed Bryson last week. This week we head to Tennessee for the St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind – a course that features tough to hit fairways, and Bermuda greens. Even though the fairways are tough to hit, we’re not targeting “accuracy” guys on purpose as the rough isn’t typically too tall or thick where you’re penalized by hitting it. The real penalty comes via water hazard as ten holes have water in play on them. Hitting greens in regulation is the biggest differentiator this week in my opinion and targeting the players who hit them the most and put their approaches the closest are who I’ll have my eye on for my lineup(s). Looking at the last five winners here shows me nothing other than Berger getting hot for 8 days, a random Fabian Gomez sighting and obviously weak fields for Ben Crane and Harris English. I think this week we see the cream of the field rise in order to get things right before heading to Shinnecock so expect the favorites to contend all week and someone who’s riding some solid form coming in over the past 4-5 weeks winning. If I had to put my money on someone today, I’d say someone who played golf in Florida wins… Could be Brooks, could be Billy, but that’s who I’m leaning as of writing. Also, since US Open qualifying is going on today and assuming DK will push their pricing, there should be some late withdrawals from the event. As of writing the following players are OUT of the event: Cauley, KJ Choi, Hossler, Lovemark, Marino & Spaun.
