Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- English Championship (European Tour- Pro Pack Members)

OVERVIEW

Another week on the European Tour where we get a new event. Last week we were close with Rasmus Hojgaard looking poised to claim another winner’s check and the putter didn’t show up. Sam Horsfield’s hot putter stuck around long enough and he was able to claim his maiden victory. Obviously, the main draw this week is the PGA Championship over in the states at TPC Harding Park, but there’s still a reason to play EURO Tour golf on DraftKings. The course is another resort course so scores should be fairly low again. The course is a pretty straight forward parkland style course playing as a Par 71 (instead of 72 as it plays for guests), three Par 5’s all under 575 yards, only one Par 3 over 200 yards and three Par 4’s under 400 yards. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus so we should expect right to left holes, bunkering in key spots and some water lurking. The first hole is a pretty crazy design as the fairway offers two different areas to aim your tee shots at. If you want to try to drive the green, there’s a bunker dead in front of it waiting to catch tee shots. I expect this hole to play differently each day depending on pin placement as it seems playing left off the tee to a right pin position, and playing right to a left pin makes the most sense based on the yardage. Water comes into play on the 2^nd, 5^th, 6^th, 8^th, 13^th , and 17^th holes.
