Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Dubai Duty Free Irish Open (European Tour Package)

Since 2000, only three Irish born players have won the Irish Open; Padraig Harrington (2007), Shane Lowry (as an amateur, 2009) and Rory McIlroy (2016).

Since 2000, no player has successfully defended his title.

Colin Montgomerie, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer & Seve Ballesteros are the only players to win this event three times.

This is the first time Portstewart has been in the rotation for the Irish Open.

The 2014 amateur championship hosted this event. Daniel Brown won the stroke play portion firing rounds of 66 & 67. Renato Paratore finished T2, and Zander Lombard finished T8. Lombard also lost to Bradley Neil in the match play final.
