Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- British Masters (European Tour- Pro Pack Members)

OVERVIEW

Last week was great if you heeded the advice and played Joel Stalter. I was lucky enough to get some cheddar down on him at 125/1 so he recouped a bit of my Memorial losses and then some! This week we have a real tournament with some decent players in the field, so we’ve got the opportunity for a much better player pool. The British Masters is on a course rotation, so the course history listed on the website shows as Hillside – Walton Heath – Close House (which is where it’s being held this year) – The Grove – Woburn G & CC – The Belfry. So we have a limited sample size for Close House, but this course should play easier and if someone played well at Hillside, the same should be said for this week – all things considered. This is a premier European Tour event and you can see that in the winners and runners-up listed below. Big name players play here, and this event has produced winners who are either making a name for themselves or have already done so. The course is fairly tight off the tee, so looking at accuracy players is my preferred statistical profile (aside from ball strikers). There’s been some chatter that the course plays similar to that of Morocco, so looking at the past Oman Open leaderboards is also something I’d suggest doing in order to round out your teams.
