Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Australian PGA Championship (European Tour Package)

OVERVIEW

The RACV Royal Pines resort is a flat course with a ton of water hazards, so we will see some blowup holes especially with the winds that blow in Australia. The course is a bit longer than what we’ve seen recently on the European Tour, so we’ll be targeting players who are long off the tee, as well as the ball strikers. Seeing names like Varner, Frittelli, Smith, Fowler, Scott, and Fox on previous leaderboards indicates a strong emphasis on tee to green game is the way to attack the tournament this week. Pricing is a bit tight at the top, and leaves us in a pinch for value plays when trying to jam as many top plays as possible, so we’ll have to get comfortable with the names we plug and play at the bottom of the board. As usual, I prefer GPP’s to cash games this week, but I think if you can get 4 through the cut this week, you should end up cashing most contests (obviously not winner-take-all contests). The writeup below should be a strong baseline for 20 max GPP contests, as well as 3-max and hoping for a 5/6 week similar to last week. F OFF AARON RAI!
