Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (Euro Tour- Pro Pack Members)
Welcome to the Week 40 of the Golf Calendar Year!
Congrats to the USA Team on a truly dominant performance in the Ryder Cup! I think most assumed that the USA would win, but as the in-house Euro Guy, I expected the Euros to have kept a little closer throughout. I could not have been more wrong last week. The Xander/DJ/Cantlay captain rotations seemed to help, but I opted to side with the cheaper Euro plays instead of the Americans and that proved my ultimate downfall. Revenge will hopefully be sweet in Italy in 2023.
And if you allow me to rewind one more week, I have to say a hearty congrats to Kristoffer Broberg for a memorable thrashing of the field at the Dutch Open. He won by three, but after his 3rd Round 61 – the tournament was over, and he put it on cruise control on Sunday. Even though, I did not have him on too many DK lines, you must appreciate a guy that can work back from struggles and injuries to make the winner’s circle for the first time since November 2015. There was really nothing in his recent form to indicate this was on the horizon either, so if you backed him with any strength, you have my respect for the call.
That was then and this is now.
In the now, we have a nice field shaping up at the Sanderson Farms that Jeff and Zach will do their normal deep dive on. There seem to be good opportunities so I would listen to the pod and read up on any leans that they have. With the NFL in play and taking the attention of DFS players, do not sleep on the remainder of the fall PGA slate either, there are good tournaments out there with fields upcoming that I am looking forward to quite a bit, especially with the Euro Season starting to wind down as well
After this week, there are four tournaments remaining in the Euro Season and in the Race to Dubai. If you have any hopes of making any big move for positioning purposes, this is the week to do it.
