Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Abu Dhabi Championship (European Tour Package)

OVERVIEW

DraftKings acknowledged my tweet to them last week by giving the EURO events slightly better tournaments to choose from, but we’re still miles apart from where we should be with this field compared to the CareerBuilder Challenge. Looking back through past winner’s stats and it’s pretty evident that you need to do both to win here, let alone place. The worst combo ranking a winner has had here was in 2014, when Pablo Larrazabal was 21^st in distance and 59^th in accuracy. Being strong off the tee will be our primary focus this week, but we can’t look past the almighty greens in regulation stat as the winner has ranked in the Top 13 in the last ten years. Fleetwood hit 90% of greens last year to edge out DJ, and I’m guessing that had to do with losing his touch with the putter for a few holes last year. Water comes into play on more than half of the holes, so there’s sure to be some dramatic swings in scoring this week.
