Fantasy Golf Course Preview – Travelers Championship

OVERVIEW

This is the third week of stacked fields and we move from the southeast to the northeast and another Pete Dye course as the PGA Tour heads to Cromwell, CT for the Travelers Championship. Historically we’ve been able to lean on the lower tier of players to guide us through our roster construction, but with stacked fields it changes the element of building our lineups. We get softer pricing, which is nice, but we’re also getting the cream of the crop in the field, most of which have minimal or no history at these courses (so far) so it throws a wrench in our usual approach to these types of tournaments. The nice aspect of this week is that this is the normal spot in the schedule for this event, so there shouldn’t be any questions surrounding “how the course will play this time of the year”. The player pool I listed last week was nails on as I suggested JT, Webb, Hatton, Ancer, Poulter Poston, and Sergio who all finished inside the Top 10 so I hope this new format and deeper dive I’m doing is working out as well for you as it is for me.
