Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Cadillac Championship
The PGA Tour returns to an old favorite this week, Trump National Doral. It is the first time it has been played on the PGA Tour since 2016. This course was always one of my favorites and actually was home to my very first sizable GPP win back in 2014 when Patrick Reed won. This was back in the infancy of DFS golf and the prize pools were nowhere near where they are today. I do not remember exactly, but I want to say it was worth $10k for winning the biggest GPP offered on the slate. This was before we launched FGI and was the start of many GPP wins as we capitalized on our competition knowing minimal about anything that is today is considered standard knowledge about DFS golf.
It is an elevated event this week, although many top guys will not be here, which is a shame. When you stack two elevated events in a row on top of a major, there are not going to be many top guys willing to play all of them.
Enjoy Trump Doral, enjoy the Blue Monster, and best of luck this week Team FGI!
