THE NORTHERN TRUST Leaderboard Heading into the Weekend:

After a T2 finish at the PGA Championship last time out, Dustin Johnson was hoping to carry that momentum into the FedExCup Playoffs.  Well, DJ did exactly that at THE NORTHERN TRUST when he shot a round one 4-under 67 at TPC Boston and followed that up with a video game like performance in round two when he fired an 11-under 60.  DJ will enter the weekend with a two-stroke lead after 36 holes at THE NORTHERN TRUST.  The “59 Club” welcomed a new member when Scottie Scheffler shot a 12-under 59 on Friday.  Cameron Davis also got off to a fast start at TPC Boston and sits with Scheffler at T2 on THE NORTHERN TRUST leaderboard.  Harris English and his solid all-around game finds himself in the mix in Norton, Massachusetts.  He sits along with Danny Lee and Louis Oosthuizen at T4 on THE NORTHERN TRUST leaderboard heading into the weekend.  Kevin Kisner remains hot after his solid outings at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, PGA Championship and Wyndham Championship.  He is joined by Russell Henley at T7 on THE NORTHERN TRUST leaderboard.  Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau all failed to make the cut at THE NORTHERN TRUST but will still be able to tee it up at the BMW Championship next week.  Plenty of scoring is on tap over the weekend at THE NORTHERN TRUST so all signs point to a fantastic finish at TPC Boston.
