The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the final event this season that will be played over multiple courses.  Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Club and Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course all share host duties during the first three rounds.  After every golfer completes their rotation, a 54-hole cut will be made and only the low 60 and ties will play a final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links.  The unique format of this event means that the pros will have their patience tested each day as the celebrities they are grouped with attempt to steal the TV spot light.  It is difficult to rule anyone out since winners have come from all over.  Golfers with a round one tee time at Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course might already have an advantage over everyone else though.  Specifically, weather usually plays a factor in the outcome of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and these golfers will have a much better chance of getting off to a fast start at the much easier at Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course in what will probably be the best golfing weather all week.  Their course rotation this year also means that they will be playing at Spyglass Hill Golf Club in round two which has been a recent trend for winners.  Having a few years of course experience with at least a top 25 finish is also something that recent winners have in common.

Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course will play as par 72s, while Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course is a unique par 71 with three par 5s on the inward nine (34-37 course split).  All three courses are under 7,000 yards and landing your ball close to the pin will be essential all week.  Once again, Monterey Peninsula Country Club’s Shore Course will be the easiest to score on followed by Pebble Beach Golf Links.  Spyglass Hill Golf Course will be a bit more difficult for most golfers this week.
