Fantasy Golf Tournament Preview- Shriners Open
OVERVIEW
Last year’s edition of the Shriners saw the DFS world’s favorite son, Patrick Cantlay break through to collect his first win in a low scoring event due to windy conditions. As long as the wind doesn’t kick up again, I think the course plays more like it has in the past. The course typically plays tough off the tee and firm & fast on the greens which should benefit putters who are good lag putters and hurt those who struggle from inside ten feet (Hi, Jordan). Speaking of Jordan – he, Bryson and Rickie are primarily here to help them fulfill their event schedule this season (something Jordan failed to do last year). While I normally don’t put too much thought into them as plays (Rickie is probably the best option here as he seems to get up for every event), I am putting some stock in that theory this week for the Golden Boy and possibly Dechambeau. This week’s course comparable is TPC River Highlands (Travelers).
