OVERVIEW
The RBC heads back to Glen Abbey one last time this year before switching venues as part of the rotation for the RBC Canadian Open. The field is strong this week, which is really nice to see – DJ, Fleetwood, Brooks, Bubba, and Sergio headline the field as well as the usual RBC sponsored players such as Brandt Snedeker and Adam Hadwin. The course: Typically plays easy relative to par, the greens will be faster than they were in Scotland, and it typically plays as a bomb it off the tee course; even if you’re not in the fairway, if you’re missing in the correct spot, you’ll have a shot at the green. We go back to targeting Par 5 scoring this week, which is a nice change and means we’ll be back on some of our usual suspects as far as who to include in our player pools. Obviously, whoever gets hot with the putter this week can surprise the field, but this is primarily a bombing and ball striking course, so don’t be afraid to embrace some putting variance this week.
